Landscape Planning Limited was retained in early 2015 to undertake the Landscape Master Plan update, design development, construction documentation, contract administration and permits from the Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority for Phase 1 of Henderson Memorial Park. The park is 100 acres in total and includes the following amenities and features: park identity features (masonry gateway walls, piers and signage), 2600 sq. ft. Fieldhouse with washrooms, mechanical / electrical room, sports team change rooms, custom shade structures, outdoor performance area, accessible senior and junior play precincts, recirculation splash pad, basketball courts (2), tennis courts (2), volleyball courts (4), two(2) category 3 senior soccer fields (lit, irrigated, sub-drained, amended root zone mix), two (2) category 4 senior soccer fields, granular parking lots, internal park road system, incorporation of the existing park’s maintenance yard, storm water management ponds, created wetlands, existing creek re-alignment, loop trail system, pedestrian bridges, pedestrian walkways, farm fencing, site furnishings, soft landscaping, L.I.D. features ( Bio-swales, Bio-retention zones, enhanced vegetated swales, rain gardens) and site servicing (Electrical, storm, sanitary, water, septic system).This Project was substantially completed on October 12, 2017.
