ParksAlias Grace Park
This award-winning park provides historical reference to early settlement in Richmond Hill; promotes literature within the community; and celebrates the wealth and quality of Canadian literature through interpretation and expression of renowned Canadian author Ms. Margaret Atwood’s novel Alias Grace. Symbolism and imagery is abundant throughout the park in the form of sculpture, art, and built form such as laser cut metal panels, a book feature, sand-blasted quilt patterns in the pavement, a reading garden, period plantings, and interpretive signage. These elements collectively reinforce park theming & establish a sense of place.
