Landscape Planning Limited was retained to undertake the design, construction documentation, obtain all necessary building permits, site plan approvals and to provide contract administration services for Villanova College. Additionally, Landscape Planning Limited coordinated the topographic/Legal survey, geotechnical investigations, subsurface utility locates, and tree preservation assessment. Landscape Planning Limited acted as the lead of the multidisciplinary team that included the Air supported dome manufacturing, civil engineer, structural engineer, mechanical & electrical engineer and architect. The project involved the construction of a synthetic turf field, and full site servicing (storm, sanitary, electrical, water). This 11,230 sq.m field incorporates soccer, field hockey, and football lines to allow for flexibility to host a variety of sporting events. An electronic LED scoreboard was customized to allow for scoring of these three (3) sports that will be played at this facility. The air supported dome structure will be incorporated as funding becomes available.
